Port Location, Transportation, and Parking
The Miami cruise port is located on Dodge Island, which is just over the causeway from downtown Miami. The port is only about 10 miles from the airport if you are flying into Miami, and you can navigate to 1015 North America Way Miami, Florida 33132 if you are driving in.
There are a lot of transportation options when it comes to actually getting to the cruise port. Check out a few of them below.
- Uber/Lyft – If you don’t want to drive yourself to the Port of Miami, you can grab a ride with Uber or Lyft. These are relatively inexpensive ways to get to the port without having to drive yourself.
- Hotel Shuttle – Miami is well-known for its cruise port, so if you are staying in a hotel near the port, there might be an available shuttle. Many of these shuttles offer free transportation to the port, but some charge a small fee.
- Driving – If you live in Miami or the surrounding area, you may decide the best option is to drive yourself to the port. This can be an inexpensive option, and it is not a hard drive.
If you do decide to drive yourself to the Port of Miami for your cruise, you will have to plan for cruise parking. There is official cruise/port parking available right near all the cruise terminals, but it can be expensive to park your car there over the course of your trip as rates can be over $20 per day. Another option is to choose an independent lot like Safe Cruise Parking. While our parking option is a little farther away from the port, it is much more affordable. We also offer a secure parking lot and a shuttle to the cruise terminals.

Once you get to the specific terminal for your cruise, you must go through check-in and security.
