2018 is just around the corner, so now’s the time to think about your travel plans for the year. Where do you want to go? What have you never seen before? If you want some inspiration, here’s the most popular Miami cruise destinations that you should check out this year.
Key West
While still in Florida, you can’t do better than scenic Key West. The largest island in Florida features some stunning views and exciting things to do while you’re visiting the area.
If you’re into your history, then you’ll want to visit the Little White House, where President Harry S. Truman spent 175 days of his time in office. Another famous resident of Key West was Ernest Hemingway, and you can trace his footsteps all over the island. Try visiting the Ernest Hemingway House, where the writer lived from 1931 to 1939.
There’s a lot more to see and do too. In the New Town, there’s plenty of exciting shopping destinations and bars where you can enjoy a cocktail or two. Key West really is somewhere you should visit at least once in your life.
Havana
Moving further down from Key West, we enter Cuba and the capital city Havana. It’s the largest part of the whole country, and it showcases an amazing mash-up of the old and new. Many of those using Miami port parking are taking their first trip to this beautiful city.
There’s plenty of history and historical sites for you to visit if you want to learn more about Cuba as a country. We recommend the Old Square, as well as museums such as the National Museum Of Fine Arts.
There’s plenty of culture on display too, wherever you go. You can take in performances all over the city, especially in the Gran Teatro de la Habana, and the La Opera de la Calle.
Nassau
If you’re looking for a tropical paradise, you can’t get much closer than Nassau. This hideaway in the Bahamas is surrounded by stunning blue seas and stretches of coral reef, which are best explored by snorkeling. If you want to get closer to nature, this is the place to go.
Nassau features a blend of British and Bahamian influences, making it unique as a destination. Architecture buffs will get a real kick of seeing the influence the British left on the buildings here. If you’re a James Bond fan, you should check out the British Colonial hotel, which was used in two different Sean Connery era movies.
Aruba
Staying in the Carribean, Aruba is the place to go if you love your nightlife. There’s plenty to see and do of a night, including cocktails and live music. Why not take in a show of the island’s own Tumba music?
If that’s not your thing, you’ll still be glad you went. It’s hard to find an island more beautiful than this one, and there’s plenty of beaches you can enjoy while you’re out here. You can even take part in land and sea activities, such as parasailing or even driving ATVs on the beach.
You can also indulge yourself in one of the luxury casinos in Aruba if you’re feeling lucky. Who knows, you may strike it rich! Whatever you want from a vacation, you can find it here.
It’s easy to reach any of these destinations from Miami, and you can get there simply by taking advantage of Everglades port parking. Make a resolution this year to travel more, and see what’s out there. You’ll be glad you did when you’re sunning yourself on the beach!
